Playa Bluff is home to hundreds of Baul and Carey turtles, as well as the occasional Green and Loggerhead turtle, from April to September. All four species are critically endangered. In 2011, the community organization ANABOCA (Asociación Natural Bocas Carey) was created to protect the turtles and supervise their observation. The 2-hour night trips in small groups are quite physical. The show is unforgettable but never 100% guaranteed.
