MUSEO DE ARTE SACRO
In an 18th century building, this museum, inaugurated in 2010, presents a collection that comes directly from the city's religious buildings: the cathedral and the convent of the Capuchins. In this collection, we can admire the paintings of Jose de Alcivar (Virgen de Guadalupe and Coronación de la Virgen de San Juan de los Lagos), as well as numerous sculptures and liturgical ornaments from the 17th to 20th centuries. The large marquetry chest housed San Hermión's remains when he arrived in town at the end of the 18th century. A short documentary on the history of the city can also be viewed. Surprising.
