Raicilla is a local mezcal, produced by the distillation of an endemic agave in the Sierra and the coastal region of the state (Lechuguilla Maximiliana), resulting from 100%-artisan production since agave are wild and naturally grow through the release of seeds from flowering (unlike other species of agave, which reproduce by cloning).
