TRYPTIQUE DE TERNANT
Ternant's Tryptique, located in the church of Saint-Roch, can now be admired in a showcase that showcases it to its best advantage.
In the church of Saint-Roch de Ternant, two triptych altarpieces were commissioned by the de Ternant family in the 15th century. The Virgin altarpiece is the work of a Flemish workshop. The Passion altarpiece is thought to have been produced by a Brabant workshop. Carved, painted and gilded, this triptych is adorned with countless meticulous details, and has been restored. It can now be admired in a display case that showcases it to its best advantage. These exceptional religious masterpieces have been listed as "Monument Historique" since 1881.
