SANT PERE CATHEDRAL
This neoclassical cathedral houses an extraordinary Gothic altarpiece and a spectacular collection of 20th century paintings.
In 1038, a church was built on this site, but the building we know today dates from the late 18th century. It has a mixture of styles, from Romanesque to Neoclassical, Baroque and Gothic. Inside, you can admire a set of very interesting paintings by Josep Maria Sert, representing the mystery of the Redemption. The splendid gothic altarpiece and the cloister are also worth a visit (entrance fee). Take the opportunity to visit the nearby Museum of Romanesque and Gothic Art.
