FONDO DEL ROIG
Iberian site that served as a place of storage and agricultural production on a road connecting the coast to the interior of the peninsula
Discovered in 1996 during a road construction project, it is an Iberian site of rural type which would seem to have been inhabited between the 4th and 3rd centuries BC. If the vestiges are not impressive by their size nor by their state of conservation, they nevertheless teach us more about the functioning of the Iberian societies of the tribe known as the cosetanos: this site probably served as a place of storage (cereal, wine, oil...) and agricultural production on a transhumance route connecting the coast to the interior of the peninsula.
