IGLESIA DE SANTA CREU
Parish church with three naves built between 1832 and 1857, with a barrel vault and a rectangular apse in Calafell
Built between 1832 and 1857, the parish church of Calafell owes its construction to the demographic growth of the town, which was due to the growth of the vineyard economy at the end of the 18th century. Its three naves and relatively recent construction make it an original and large building. A barrel vault supported by semi-Corinthian pillars and a rectangular apse with a central opening covered by a modern stained glass window make up the interior of the church. The paintings in the Santísimo chapel date from the 1960s.
