COMA-RUGA POND AND CREEK
Water from the limestone rocks of the massif, with therapeutic properties, whose temperature varies between 18°C and 21°C
Coming from the limestone rocks of the Bonastre massif, the stream makes its way through the tectonic faults of the Penedès to gush out at the Coma-Ruga beach. In the 19th century, the therapeutic properties of the water were discovered, with temperatures ranging from 18 to 21 degrees Celsius, and in the 1920s a spa was built, marking the beginning of the urbanization of Coma-Ruga. Today the water course is canalized.
