MUSEUM OF
Museum that exhibits heterogeneous works of art and crafts from the twelfth century to the present day in El Vendrell
The Deu Museum owes its name to its founder, Antoni Deu Font (1918-2001), a former notary of the city, who throughout his life amassed heterogeneous works of art and craftsmanship ranging from the 12th century to the present day: Gothic paintings, Romanesque sculptures, Baroque furniture, contemporary gold and glass pieces... He bequeathed everything to the municipality in 1987, which inaugurated the Deu Museum in 1995, offering at that time one of the most extensive art collections in the country. The most amazing space is undoubtedly the Sala de les catifes (carpet room)!
