BERÀ CASTLE
Former stately home converted into a luxury hotel while maintaining the exterior appearance of a castle in Roda de Bera
In the middle of the 20th century, the former stately home of the Berà family, built between the 16th and 18th centuries, was converted into a luxury hotel while maintaining the exterior appearance of a castle. Some time later, the same building was bought by the Bank of Spain, which converted it into a residence for its employees. Today we can see the old rectangular tower, originally separated from the rest of the building, which was renamed "Berà Castle" because it was supposedly built on the remains of medieval fortifications.
