SANCTUARY OF THE DEU DE LA PINEDA POND
Sanctuary of general appearance rather austere, located on the road between the center and the beach in Vila-Seca
Built around 1245 as the parish church of the newly born municipality of La Pineda, it was not until a century later that the building was converted into a sanctuary. It was not until the 17th century that pilgrimages became more regular. In 1708, the building was enlarged, then blessed in 1758. Although it has a rather austere appearance, the baroque contrast of the altar, the work of the artist Antonio Ocharo, will be appreciated. The sanctuary is on the roadside between the center and the beach.
