VILA-SECA CASTLE
A neo-medieval style castle in the middle of an opulent pine forest, whose tower was erected in Roman times
Located to the north of the city center, this ancient neo-medieval castle stands amidst a lush pine forest. The tower is believed to have been built in Roman times, while the rest of the structure dates from around the 11th century. From that time on, the castle passed through the hands of several feudal lords until 1899, when it was acquired by Isidre Sicart i Torrents. The Count then had it remodeled, giving it its current surprising neo-medieval appearance. Since 2005, the building has been owned by the city.
