CHURCH OF SANTA MARIA
Parish church built between the 13th and 15th centuries on the ruins of a Romanesque temple in Santa Coloma de Queralt
The parish church of Santa Coloma de Queralt, dedicated to Mary, was built between the 13th and 15th centuries on the ruins of a Romanesque temple of which nothing remains. Some architectural elements enrich the Gothic structure of the main building, such as the Gothic balustrade from 1649, which is attached to the robust 40-meter high bell tower, or the entrance door and its late Gothic façade from 1577. The present building has been through several fires and is the result of restorations carried out in 1962 and 1994.
