HERMITAGE OF SANTA MARIA DE BELL-LLOC
Typical hermitage of the Romanesque-Gothic transition with columns decorated with plants in Santa Coloma de Queralt
This hermitage is typical of the transition from the Romanesque to the Gothic period, displaying characteristics of both. Originally, it had only one nave, and it is probably during the 14th century that its two outbuildings were added to it. One can appreciate the vegetal ornaments on the columns as well as the sculptures representing biblical scenes that frame the entrance door. Burned during the civil war, the hermitage was restored between 1949 and 1959.
