PLACED DE SANT BERNAT
One of the most emblematic baroque squares in Catalonia, which houses the town hall of Aiguamurcia
The Sant Bernat square with its ancient cobblestones is perhaps one of the most emblematic baroque squares in Catalonia. With a fountain as its central element, the square is home to the town hall of Aiguamúrcia, housed in the old Palau de l'Abat (Abbot's Palace). The rest of the buildings in the square are privately owned. You only have to cross the square to feel transported back to ancient times: the side buildings (once dependencies of the monastery) covered with sgraffiti and the imposing silhouette of the Asumpta portal make their effect.
