SANT SALVADOR HERMITAGE
Modest chapel-hermitage whose bell was carved in an aerial bomb, built in the 16th century under an imposing rock
This modest chapel-hermitage was built in the 16th century under an imposing rock a little more than 3 km from the urban center of Margalef. However, the version currently visible dates from the post-Civil War period, as the original building was burned down in 1936. Surprisingly (and quite common in the Montsant), the bell was carved out of an aerial bomb! You can also enjoy the barbecue area and the spring next to the chapel, which you can reach on foot or by car.
