FALSETTO CASTLE
Castle whose structure has been restored to house a museum dedicated to the history of the village and the Priorat
The castle of the Counts of Prades was built in the 12th century. It was enlarged during the 14th and 15th centuries and, according to legend, was the birthplace of two of the most important women in medieval Catalonia: Elionor de Prades (1333-1416), Queen of Cyprus and Jerusalem, and Margarida de Prades (1387-1429), Queen of Aragon and last Queen of Catalonia. Long abandoned, its exterior structure has finally been restored to house a museum dedicated to the history of the village and the Priorat in general.
