Camp distributed in four terraces on different levels, which constituted a real village in Asco
Built of stone and distributed in four terraces on different levels of the mountain slope, this camp was a real village. Between July and November 1938, 5,000 Republican soldiers lived there during the 115 days of the Battle of the Ebro. The camp has several refuges dug into the rock to protect the soldiers from Franco's air force bombing. The camp of the XV Corps was a crucial organizational point.
