MINIMS CONVENT
Convent of nuns of the Order of Minims with notable dimensions in the heart of the historical center of Mora d'Ebre
This convent of notable dimensions is located in the heart of the historical center of Móra d'Ebre. It is a convent of nuns of the Order of the Minims, which means "the little ones", a female branch of the mendicant order founded by Saint Francis of Paola in the 15th century. The Minims sisters still live in the convent today. It was built at the instigation of Sister Filomena Ferrer Galzeran, daughter of Fèlix Ferrer, a local sculptor. The neo-Gothic building was designed in 1925 by Joan Abril, architect of the modernist slaughterhouse in Tortosa.
