IBERIAN VILLAGE OF COLL DEL MORO
Ancient Iberian village surrounded by a fortified enclosure with an elliptical tower of 8 meters in Gandesa
On the top of a hill, the remains of the Coll del Moro site reveal the presence of an ancient Iberian village founded in the 6th century BC and then abandoned during the Roman period. The excavations have brought to light a series of ceramic objects, including Greek remains, which bear witness to the commercial exchanges between the peoples of the Iberian Peninsula and neighboring civilizations. The village was surrounded by a fortified enclosure with an elliptical tower of 8 meters!
