SYNDICATE PARROT RESERVE
Reserve home to a vast colony of multicolored parrots offering a splendid spectacle in the rainforest.
The reserve, created in 1993, lies on the western flank of Morne Diablotins National Park. The vast colony of multicolored parrots (179 species) is a splendid sight in the rainforest. Look up, as the parrots often perch in the treetops: you'll be able to spot the Sisserou parrot, among others. To make the most of this aerial ballet, leave early in the morning or late in the afternoon. Further on, after a 30-minute hike, you'll come to the Syndicate Falls waterfall, an easy hike in itself.
