VICTORIA FALLS
An impressive waterfall over 50 m high, offering a good option for lovers of tropical plants and hiking.
To the south-east of Morne-Trois-Pitons National Park lie the majestic Victoria Falls... They're well worth the trip. The color of this natural pool is breathtaking! It varies from white to light turquoise, depending on the color of the sky... Upstream from this impressive 50-metre waterfall, you'll find a trail through tree ferns, wild anthuriums, bamboo and wispy ferns. A true paradise on earth for tropical plant lovers!
On the way down, you'll come across the Claire River, then the Blanche River, which flows from Boiling Lake. These are two sites much appreciated for their calm and serenity.
This one-hour hike doesn't require you to be in great physical condition, but you should be aware that it combines a number of actions (hiking through the rainforest, climbing along the rocks, which are quite slippery, the numerous waterfalls, crossing several streams...). Walking shoes are essential. Don't forget your sun cream and beach towel. The presence of a guide is highly recommended, as you'll save precious minutes without getting lost in the surroundings. You can also take advantage of this time to take a dip in the hot-water pools.
The guides know exactly where to cross the river, ensuring your safety (especially in the event of flash floods after heavy rain).
