Sanctuary that displays a polygonal structure composed of a multitude of triangular surfaces of various sizes
Started in November 1925 under the direction of the modernist architect Josep Maria Jujol, a disciple of Antoni Gaudí, the construction of this sanctuary took almost a century. The building, which imitates the rocks of the Montserrat mountain, has a polygonal structure made up of a multitude of triangular surfaces of varying sizes, creating an asymmetrical whole. Framed by domes of various shapes and sizes, the central spire bearing a cross rises to 27 meters.
