The Schaller domain has a long history, and family know-how has passed up to the present day. Certified since 1642, the estate extends from Bennwihr to Ribeauvillé. It is now run by Eugène Schaller and his son, and covers 5.5 hectares, divided into seventy-eight plots distributed on slopes at high altitudes, exhibitions and soils, allowing the Schallons to respond with relevance to the development of each vine. The entire range of Alsace grape varieties is proposed by the estate, as well as a creamy Alsace-based Alsace. The area also produces a house creation, the Pamp's, based on creamy and grapefruit.

Les hasards du bouche à oreille sont souvent à l'instar de belles rencontres. Et dans notre cas, la découverte du Domaine Schaller initiée par Laurent (le fils), fut incroyablement passionnante. Laurent nous a chaleureusement ouvert la porte de son établissement pour nous compter l'histoire du Domaine familial qui perdure depuis 1642. C'est sur un ton humoristique et très pédagogue, que Laurent nous a embarqué à la découverte de son métier, un métier aussi exigeant que passionnant. Des techniques de plantation jusqu'à la mise en bouteille, en passant par l'évolution du pressoir, nous ne pouvons que vous conseiller de faire un détour afin de découvrir les excellents vins conçus par cet alchimiste qui utilise des méthodes de travail ancestrales en circuit fermé, à mille lieux des pièges dictées par la mondialisation et ces obligations de rendement au détriment de la qualité.
Un grand BRAVO pour votre maîtrise et votre savoir-faire, et de nouveau merci pour votre accueil.
