Church classified among the important Lombard monuments, with walls with some remains of frescoes.
Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011, the Church of Santa Sofia is one of the most important Lombard monuments preserved in Italy. It was consecrated in 762 during the reign of Duke Arigis II of Benevento. The walls were originally covered with frescoes of which some remains remain.
