PONT ROMÀNIC
Romanesque bridge over the river Caldes, with an interesting view
Overlooking the river Caldes, this Romanesque bridge drowned in vegetation is said to have been first mentioned in 1226. It was part of the road that linked Caldes to Sentmenat. For an interesting view of the Romanesque bridge, you can go to another bridge, the one that connects the park of Can Rius with the old spa complex of the same name (the 18th century building has been converted into a beautiful municipal space with a modernist decor). From here you can see the Romanesque bridge, which consists of two semicircular arches of different widths resting on a central pillar topped by a small semicircular opening that lightens the weight of the stone construction.
