A picturesque little hotel, right on the edge of the lagoon. Only a narrow strip of sand separates it from the water. You'll appreciate the view of the water from the terrace and some of the rooms, as well as the east-facing position for sunrises. The restaurant is not bad either (grilled fish, plantains, shrimps, soups, as well as good cocktails). All this makes the Yu Baiwan hotel a good base in Puerto Lempira, especially as the lagoon air makes the mugginess of the region more bearable.
