Very clean hotel on the waterfront, with a restaurant considered the best in town.
In the Miskito language, yu baiwan means "sunrise"... and you can admire some beautiful sunrises from this lagoon-side hotel. Only a narrow strip of sand separates it from the water. It's very clean, the environment is appreciated, and its restaurant, Lagun Payaska, is considered the best in town (its specialties are fish, shrimp and barbecue). All this makes the Yu Baiwan Hotel a good base in Puerto Lempira, especially as the lagoon air makes the region's mugginess more bearable.
