The Oosterschelde, or Oosterschelde, is an arm of the sea which, since the creation of the storm surge barrier, can be cut off from the sea. A national park since May 2002, the Oosterschelde boasts a rich and varied marine life. Its reputation as an ideal site for scuba diving and yachting is well-deserved.
