LA PASSIÓ DE VILALBA DELS ARCS
During Easter, the picturesque historic centre of Vilalba dels Arcs revives the last days of Christ - or the Passion of Christ - in its social and cultural reality. The streets of the small village are filled by men and women, actors or villagers, in the period of time, torches and oil lamps in hand. The role of the local population in the events of the Passion of Christ is highlighted, especially that of women who participated extensively in the accompaniment of Christ to the mount of Golgotha. The event is also an opportunity to discover the gastronomy, the crafts and the traditions of the Lands of the Ebro and the Terra Alta, thanks to the artisanal markets, wine tastings, oil, nuts, sausages, painting competitions, traditional dances…
