The small church in Corinto contains the remains of Father Azarías Pallais (1884-1954), a poet who was very popular in Nicaragua, particularly for his work Entierro de pobres. Originally from León, he went to France to study at the Sorbonne, then joined the religious orders, and returned to work in Corinto. We invite you to discover his work if you'd like to learn more about Nicaraguan arts and culture (currently in Spanish only).
