CHITRALEKHA UDYAN
Landscaped park with undulating terrain and an artificial lake inviting you to take a boat ride or a bumper car session.
This landscaped park dates back to 1906 and was founded by the Prefect of Assam, Mr. Cole. Paths wind through the hilly terrain and around the man-made lake. The locals come here for a boat ride or a bumper car session. The rare tourists come to admire the remains of temples found on the nearby Bamuni hill. Carved pillars, statues of gods, stone porticoes are scattered here and there along the walk. There is also a Soviet MiG-21 fighter plane whose engines have been removed.
