ARCHÄOLOGIEPARK RÖMISCHE VILLA BORG - ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK OF THE ROMAN VILLA OF BORG
A few kilometres from Perl, between Borg and Oberleuken, was discovered over 100 years ago in the footsteps of a Roman city by Professor Johann Scheider. The first excavations were organized, thus reviving a former Roman villa. And not least since it proved to be one of the most important of the Saarland Moselle. As long as the techniques of excavation were improved, several pieces were revealed: the baths, the tavern, the master house with its museum furnishings, the interior courtyard, the farm and farm wing, the portal and the kitchen. Today, excavations do not stop and span 7,5 hectares.
