SCHLAPPESEPPEL
A simple and authentic brewery-restaurant with a history dating back to the Thirty Years War in 1631!
The Schlappeseppel proudly bears the date of its creation: 1631. According to accounts of the Thirty Years' War, King Gustav II Adolphus took the town of Aschaffenburg, but there was not a drop of beer left in town, so he entrusted a soldier (lame, he was nicknamed "der schlappe Seppel") who knew the art of brewing to make some: the Schlappeseppel was born. Today, it's an institution frequented by all age groups in a friendly, no-fuss atmosphere. Paradoxically, however, it no longer serves beer from the Schlappeseppel brewery!
