NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE HOUSE
The seat of the state's executive and legislative branches, now the oldest capitol in the United States in Concord
The New Hampshire State Capitol is the seat of the state's executive and legislative branches. Built between 1816 and 1819 by Scottish architect Stuart Park, it is now the oldest capitol in the United States, in the Greek Revival architectural style. Its white granite blocks were quarried at the Swenson quarry north of the city. In the entrance hall, don't miss the hundred or so flags displayed in the Hall of Flags.
