A museum which, as its name suggests, allows visitors to become familiar with the history of the city. It is housed in a historic building known as Trask House. It was built in 1826 by a merchant who, in the same year, married Captain Trask. The museum displays, among other things, furniture designed in Manchester-by-the-Sea in the mid-19th century, objects from the town's maritime past and a collection of antique toys.
