Popular beach with a very New England feel, accessible year-round at Manchester-By-The-Sea

The "singing beach" is aptly named: the sand that squeaks under your feet when you walk produces what is called dune singing. Singing Beach is very popular with residents in the summer. With its fine sand and surrounding cliffs, it has a very New England feel to it. We strongly advise against trying to park there as the parking is not only expensive but also very often full. If the beach is accessible all year round, swimming is only supervised from June to September.
