Museum presenting the collection of over 7,000 objects of Southwestern art, history and culture in Taos.
Their collection of over 7,000 objects focuses on the arts, history and cultures of the Southwest. Through 15 galleries, you'll pass through the permanent collection as well as temporary exhibitions. The permanent collection includes objects from Aboriginal and Hispanic cultures, as well as a large collection of contemporary art and jewelry. The museum is particularly proud to exhibit a collection of pottery by Maria Martinez, descendant of a well-known family of potters from the Pueblo of San Ildefonso.
