TAOS PLAZA
Taos plaza, a place full of history, mainly intended to welcome tourists from all over the world
Taos Plaza is primarily intended for tourism. Historically, this was the end of the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, the trade route between Mexico City and the Santa Fe province of New Mexico, north of New Spain. At the time, it was an important trading center. The American flag in this square is the only one in the country to remain at the top of the flagpole all day. This dates back to the Civil War. Having been torn down several times by Southerners, people had to guard it day and night; since then, the flag has flown 24 hours a day.
