Calicut Live Restaurant offers specialties from Kerala, in southern India. It is from this state that the vast majority of the Indian immigrant community in Bahrain originates. And the banana leaves, which serve as plates, smell authentic. We particularly liked the shrimp curry with mango, or the beef curry with parathas, the local bread cakes. Grilled fish is also on the menu, depending on the tide of the day. The portions are generous and inexpensive.
