BEIT KHALAF
Built in 1921, this three-story house is an example in perfect condition of the traditional Gulf architecture. Former property of the Khalaf family, rich pearls of pearls, it has been restored meticulously, as demonstrated by the care of the ornaments of precious wooden balconies that parent the building. Time photographs and paintings are displayed here and there, to better describe the pearl fishing, which has made the fortune not only of the Khalaf, but also of the whole kingdom. Climb carefully on the roof to discover a sumptuous view of the souk, from where the minarets, bell towers and shikhara (tower) of the Hindu temple emerge.
