POST OFFICE MUSEUM
Go there and contact
This museum, opened in the Kingdom's first post office, is just behind Bab Al Bahrain. Completely renovated by the architect Ammar Basheir, this space documents the history of Bahrain's postal services since its creation in 1884. Thanks to the archives of the Ministry of Transport and the Philatelic Office, the museum houses photographs and time instruments, as well as an impressive collection of stamps from all over the world. Some are extremely rare and will delight amateur philatelists. The museum will soon open a philatelic counter where visitors can buy new and/or collector's stamps. A coffee on the roof of the museum is also provided, from which you can enjoy a magnificent view of Bab Al Bahrain.
