OILFIELDS AND OIL MUSEUM
Surely one of the few countries in the world where you can visit a museum dedicated to oil. This space symbolizes the importance of black gold in Bahrain. In 1932, the first oil drilling released buried hydrocarbons into the basement. Oil and gas have provided a petro-dollar annuity to the Bahraini state, which has been somewhat over the last 30 years. The oil fields around the Djebel Al Dukhan hill are visited and the first drilling is near the museum. In this one you can discover the importance of black gold, how it is harvested and refined, etc. The visit takes no more than half an hour and is a good stage of your visit to the south of the island. The first well in the country can be difficult to find if you drive your own vehicle, so we tell you here the GPS coordinates: N 26 01.633 E 050 33.173
