It took three years to create the garden of Shigeyoshi Nabeshima, 28th lord of the Takeo district. It features 5,000 cherry trees and 50,000 rhododendrons that bloom in spring and change color in autumn. With Mount Mifune as a backdrop, the scene is grandiose. In certain seasons, such as momiji, the autumn colors, the garden opens in the evening to allow visitors to enjoy the site after dark. The play of light highlights the nocturnal beauty of the Japanese maples. A magical experience.
