It took three years to create the garden of Shigeyoshi Nabeshima, 28th lord of Takeo District. It consists of 5,000 cherry trees and 50,000 rhododendrons that bloom in spring and change color in autumn. With Mount Mifune as a backdrop, the scene is grand. In certain seasons, such as the momiji season, the colors of autumn, the garden opens in the evening to allow visitors to enjoy the grounds after dark. The play of light highlights the nocturnal beauty of the Japanese maples. A magical experience.
