This shrine, founded in 1867 by Nabeshima Naotomo, the wife of the local lord, is located in the steep hill of a valley. Its main hall has wooden beams of a dizzying height: 18 meters! A footpath begins at the entrance and leads up a wooded hill. Several sections are covered with torii and lined with small shrines. Yutoku Inari is considered as one of the three most important shrines dedicated to Inari with the one of Fushimi Inari in Kyoto and the one of Toyokawa Inari in Aichi prefecture.
