OURAY VISITOR CENTER
Ouray, Colorado, is an alpine community located at an elevation of 7,800 feet. Surrounded by steep, rugged mountains, the town offers spectacular scenery, with peaks reaching 12,000 to 13,000 feet and several streams flowing into town through valleys and canyons. Visitors come from all over the world to discover Ouray in its entirety. Whether relaxing in Ouray's hot springs, hiking our trails, learning about the history of the Ute Indians and miner's life, shopping on our unique Main Street or admiring our wildlife, wildflowers and waterfalls, there's something for everyone. Visitors can also enjoy the town's arts and crafts stores, as well as local museums that tell the story of the region. Finally, don't miss the Ouray hot springs and the impressive Box Cañon waterfalls.
