Opened in the 1900 s, Buffalo Pharmacy was frequented by local and transient migrants. His owner, Jim Gatchell, quickly established trusting relationships with the Amerindians who offered him numerous gifts including weapons, crafts or tools… When he died in 1954, his family donated his collection to the region and a museum was built to develop it. Now it's in the historic Carnegie Public Library building that you can learn more about Jim Gatchell's life and the history of the region.
