KING'S SADDLERY, KING ROPES
It's an institution in Sheridan. It all started with the sellery game that still works and positions itself as the favorite store of the region's cowboys and riders. The saddles are the specialty of the house as well as the lassos (ropes) that are in a multitude of widths, lengths, colors and different materials. The place is also known for hosting a museum. The founder of the saddlery, Don King, created this incredible temple dedicated to cowboy culture from its collection composed of stools and various accessories sleeping in his garage. Since then, many people in the city have enriched the collection by bringing their own treasures. Once in the store, you will have to cross it along long distances and take the door behind, cross a tiny alleyway to reach the saddle. In the huge room you will discover an incredible number of lassos and saddles as well as the manufacturing workshop. It smells good for the leather and the Far West. If some lassos cost a small fortune, some can be reduced and be an unusual gift to bring into your suitcases. But the visit doesn't stop there. On your left, a door will lead you to the museum. You will then enter a real cavern of Ali Baba. Collection of firearms, Amerindian crafts, historic stools and even a calèche. It is a condensed part of the story of the corner that reveals itself on 3 pieces. Don't miss the Mexican jaguar saddle. Most of the stuffed animals whose puma, grizzly bears, and most of the elites were killed by Don King's son. Even today, King's sellerie is a family affair that continues from generation to generation, and it is an unavoidable passage during a visit to Sheridan.
