MAMMOTH SITE OF HOT SPRINGS
A return when the mammoth, camel and short-face bear traveled across the Great Plains of North America. It is the world's largest mammoths research center and it allows to discover a site of active paleontological excavations and fossils of ice age. The museum is divided into two parts, first of all the career that reveals the bones of 61 species, including 58 Colombian mammoths and 3 wooly mammoths, all found on the site. The second part reveals an exhibition dedicated to Siberian frozen mammoths and different ice age animals. If you are comfortable in English, plan to join a guided tour or you will be able to explore the museum by yourself using the brochure you will retrieve at the entrance. The museum is very informative and will make a special impression on young people.
