If you have the opportunity to visit Sancho-machi during the weekend, don't miss the opportunity to discover Hotoro, a unique historical site in the area. Founded in 1877, under the name Tantami, this magnificent building has long been a ryōtei (a luxurious restaurant often operating by co-optation). Many important personalities used to go there regularly. Strolling between the rooms with their fabulous details is a real pleasure. The walls, the windows, the floor, the art objects, all the elements deserve special attention.
